Activities

In the heart of the Mornington Penisula, the Outlook offers a peaceful retreat or a perfect base to explore the nearby beaches, wineries, and legendary golf courses. With plenty of attractions for children of all ages.

 

For the children, a highlight is jumping on the Springfree trampoline or exploring the garden, see the pictures below.

 

A short walk down to Shoreham beach gives access to one of the nicest year-round beaches on the peninsula. A  few minutes from the Point Leo Surf Lifesaving Club, the patrolled beach is just a few hundred meters away, and the magnificent foreshore reserve is all there to explore.

 

Other activities include:

  • World Class Golf - This rugged coastal area provides perfect links conditions as well as traditional tree-lined classics providing exceptional golfing experiences. 

  • Learn to Surf  - Owner Fraser Ross has surfed the local area his entire life and has coached for the past ten years, offering an intimate knowledge of tides, breaks, and teaching techniques so that each class is suited to your individual goals. Whether you're a first-time surfer or want to refine your skills they have classes to suit a variety of ages and ability levels. They keep the groups small and time classes to suit the surf conditions so you always have a great time.

  • Visiting the Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Garden - a gentle stroll or  a short drive up the road the Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens is home to Australia's oldest and most famous hedge maze, a beautiful circular rose maze, and the year-round flowering Lavender Labyrinth, all set among 25 acres of world acclaimed gardens.

  • The Vineyard at Mantons Estate - a 10-minute drive or about an hour's stroll from the Epicurean Mantons Creek provides a secluded and tranquil haven. With rich fertile soil and crisp ocean air, the Mornington Peninsula is a premier wine and food-producing region. The 19-acre property was previously an orchard, herb farm and horse stud before it was developed as a vineyard in the 1990’s, producing the highest quality maritime, cool climate wines made entirely from estate-grown Mornington Peninsula fruit.

  • Pier 10 Restaurant and Cellar Door - just a 15-minute walk Pier 10 is a small family-owned and run vineyard, restaurant and cellar door.
